DESCRIPTION
The 365 (250 + 115) litre multi-engine compressor wash rig consists of one 250 litre (55 gallon) stainless steel tank and one 115 litre (25 gallon) stainless steel tank mounted on a rigid steel chassis. The chassis is supported by two wheels, with urethane filled tyres, at the front, which are mounted on a turntable which rotates via ball bearings, and two wheels, with pneumatic tyres, at the rear. A drawbar, which can be locked in the upright position for storage and safety, is attached to the turntable. A drawbar operated parking brake acts on the two front wheels when the drawbar is locked in the upright position.
The two tanks are fully encased in polyurethane insulating jackets, and enclosed in removable enclosure panels. Each tank is fitted with a filler cap, gauze strainer, pressure gauge, sight glass, a pressure relief valve and a temperature gauge. A 1/2" BSP drain valve secured by padlocks, is installed at the bottom of each tank.
A 440V AC, 3-phase, 50Hz, 6kW immersion heater is installed in each tank to heat the fluid to a temperature of 70ºC. The power supply cable for the immersion heaters is installed in a stowage at the rear of the rig.
The two outlet delivery hoses (one for the GE90 engine and one for the CFM56 engine) are stowed on the right hand side (as viewed from the front) of the rig. 60" and 82" long engine wash lances are stowed in stowages on the left hand side of the rig (as viewed from the front). A stowage box, for CF6-80E1 engine probes and a twin delivery hose, is also installed on the left hand side of the rig.
