INTRODUCTION
The mobile compressor cleaning rig consists of a six imperial gallons (27.27 litres) stainless steel tank, a 1⁄2” diaphragm pump, a solenoid valve and associated filter / regulator and lubricator, all mounted on a two wheeled trolley. With the exception of the pressure regulator, lubricator, filler cap, pressure gauge and hoses, all the components of the mobile compressor cleaning rig are enclosed in a steel cabinet that has five removable panels for access. The delivery, air inlet and air outlet hoses are stowed on brackets on the sides of the rig. The tank is fitted with a filler cap complete with a 120 mesh strainer and a fluid level indicator.

GENERAL
The fluid is sucked from the tank by a 1/2" diaphragm pump that forces it through the delivery hose to the spray ring of the engine being washed. The air inlet to the diaphragm pump is regulated to a maximum of 6.9 bar (100 psi) by a filter / regulator mounted on a traffolyte panel at the rear of the rig. A lubricator, mounted adjacent to the filter / regulator, provides lubrication for the diaphragm pump. The air supply to the diaphragm pump is controlled by the operation of a 24V DC solenoid valve mounted in the supply line to the pump. The electrical supply cable is not provided.
