The GE T700-701c engines in the RNLAF Apache helicopters periodically undergo extensive maintenance. During this process, two gas generator turbine wheels and one stator wheel in each engine have to be thoroughly cleaned to ensure all the small cooling holes are cleared of any blockages. This prototype Rotor Flushing Rig reduces the cleaning time for these parts by half and releases the engineer to work on other parts of the engine during the cleaning process.
