DESCRIPTION
The 2x227 litre (2x50 gallon) Multi-engine Compressor Wash Rig consists of two 227 litre (50 imperial gallons) stainless steel pressure vessels (tanks) mounted on a rigid steel chassis. The chassis is supported by three heavy duty wheels with 16” super elastic tyres, one of which is mounted on a heavy duty steering castor unit. A drawbar, which can be locked in the upright position for storage and safety, is attached to the steering castor unit. A drawbar operated parking brake acts on the front wheel when the drawbar is locked in the upright position.
Each pressure vessel is fitted with a filler cap, gauze strainer, pressure gauge, sight glass, and a pressure relief valve. A 3⁄4” BSP drain valve is installed at the bottom of each pressure vessel. A 9kW immersion heater is installed at the bottom of each tank to heat the fluid to a temperature of 70ºC.
A 3⁄4” NB, 20 ft. long outlet delivery hose is stowed in a stowage on the right side of the rig as viewed from the front. A 1⁄2” NB, 20 ft. long outlet delivery hose is stowed, together with a 1⁄4” NB, 19 ft. long blow-off hose, in a stowage on the left side of the rig as viewed from the front. Rubber protective collars are installed on the end of each hose to protect the couplings from damage.
A twin delivery hose is stowed in a box at the rear of the rig. A stowage box is also provided at the rear of the rig for the optional engine probe assemblies.
